Food insecurity and hunger have risen in Maine and throughout the country since the pandemic began. The Closing the Meal Gap Act of 2021 is critical to ensuring more families have access to nutritious food through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The SSI Restoration Act of 2021 would raise monthly disability income and remove barriers that have made it difficult for people to access the program.
